Arif Yeniözdoğdu — ArfYzd

Food, IT and software. Three lines of work, all run on the same kitchen logic.

I have been building my own businesses in İstanbul since 2010. Today I have shops open in five districts, my own team supports the IT departments of corporate companies, and I write every piece of software my businesses run on.

I didn't learn this work at a desk. Why an order runs late, why the till doesn't balance at closing, why one branch makes money and the next one doesn't — I saw all of that from behind the counter. Then I learned to ask the same questions from the software side.

Everything that built up in the restaurants and in the code came together in one product: Hadi Yiyelim !!!. I wrote the customer website, the iOS and Android apps, the courier app, the restaurant panel and the back office myself. The person who prepares the order and the person who writes its code are the same person.

Three business arms and their intersectionThe food, IT and software arms are linked to each other; where all three intersect sits Hadi Yiyelim !!! Hadi Yiyelim !!! Food restaurants, franchise, supply IT virtualization, networking, servers Software panels, mobile, field apps The three arms feed each other; where they meet sits Hadi Yiyelim !!!

01 / What I do

Four kinds of work, one habit

The four below are not separate hobbies. Each one grew out of the one before it, and each one taught the next what to ask.

Food

I operate Keyf-i Kumpir & Waffle branches in five districts of İstanbul and one Chef's Yusuf branch; the brands belong to someone else, the operation is mine. My own brands are Kıtır Waffle, Rakelyan Cafe Fast Food and, as a restaurant, Hadi Yiyelim !!!.

IT

ArfYzd Bilişim supports the IT departments of corporate companies with its own team: virtualization, databases, networks and server management. The work has always come by referral, so I never advertised it. This site is the first time I describe it.

Software

I wrote the Hadi Yiyelim !!! ordering platform, Özalp Oto İş Takip, Lena'nın Bahçesi and four mobile games myself. I didn't start writing software in order to sell it; I started because my own businesses needed it.

Companies

I founded and own PpfxTR, a vehicle protection business in Kartal, and I run its software as well. I founded Efil Hukuk, where the systems and the process are mine.

Today

It all came together in Hadi Yiyelim !!!

Restaurant work + software = Hadi Yiyelim !!!

Whatever I learned in the kitchen and behind the counter, and whatever I learned writing code, went into the same thing. Hadi Yiyelim !!! wasn't written by a software company for restaurants; it was written by someone running a restaurant, for what that work actually needs. The difference doesn't show on the menu screen. It shows in what happens to the order once it reaches the kitchen.

I wrote all four layers, and all four are running live.

The merge equationRestaurant operations plus software equals Hadi Yiyelim !!! Restaurant operations inside the kitchen, the floor and the till since 2010 Software systems written for their own businesses + Hadi Yiyelim !!! One team that has lived both sides

Customer

Website, iOS app and Android app. The same order, behaving the same way in all three places.

Restaurant

Taking orders, menu and opening hours, kitchen flow. At the busy hour what matters is how many taps a job takes; I designed it knowing that.

Courier

Its own app. Assignment, route and delivery, all of it on the courier's phone.

Back office

Restaurant approvals, delivery coverage, payments and settlement, notifications.
